I'll let
Ploof tell the story........
" Here's my '77 LeMans sports coupe I picked up from a friend about 8 months ago.

He had it sitting out by his garage when I passed by one day. Asked if he wanted to sell andhe said he would. Don't know a lot about the car. Originalowners had it until about 1995, sold it to a kid who didn't have it long andmy friend ended up with it in 1997.

Have recently changed the interior as the Texas sun had ruined all theplastic. The original all white interior is now black and white with the assistance of one of your Readers, Evan.

He sent me the black interior from a Grand LeMans. You can see the difference in the upper door panels and of course the sails on the inside rear.I left the white seats, headliner and visors.

It has the 400 Pontiac engine, Automatic Tranny, A/C, am/fm radio, split bench with arm rest. The original owner supposedly ordered the Snowflake Wheels.

The previous owner added dual exhaust and GlassPacks, car sounds good. He then proceeded to put about 3,000 miles on it until I acquired ownership last fall.

130,000 miles now and I will hopefully get it restored over the next fewyears. Still looking for some new sails that fit the louvred windows and a front passenger side wheel well chrome moulding.

Other than a couple of rust spots the car is in excellent shape. It's been my daily commuter for 8 months and has now been retired. I'll just work on it, take it out for shows and on an occasional basis use it as a substitute (a motorcycle is my daily transportation) whenneeded or in the winter. "

400 now .30 over, with performance cam, and dual exhaust. Also added cruise control. That is grandson in photo.
