Scott Biggins'
1977 Buick Century
This is
Scott Biggins' 1977 Buick Century
Scott tells us...
"
Well, here is my 1977 Buick Century of which I'm the second owner. I bought the car from the "Little Old Lady" up the block. It has 54k original miles and was in okay condition for its age.
It had no reverse so I gave her 100 bucks for it.
>
It had the normal NY rust around the rear window and lower quarters, But a mint white leather bucket interior with a console. So I decided to restore it. Some of the other odd ball stuff ( for an ol lady's car ) was factory stripes, a 350 cid Buick motor and a turbo 400 tranny!
>
I was going to restore it stock, but it slowly became a hot rod. The car now has a 4:56 posi, Tranny was done over with a Hurst stage 2 shift kit and a 2600 stall speed converter from Oregon Performance Trannys.
>
The car is pretty quick with the smogger 350 still in place. A new motor is being built as of now ( a 1969 Buick 350 With 10:1 compression )and should be completed over the winter.
>
Some goodies include a Crower 515/520 lift cam, dual coil valve springs and titanium retainers, the heads will be ported and polished, a T/A Performance stage 1 manifold , a 800 cfm QJETcarb, a set of headers with a 3" exhaust.
>
At this time most of the rust issues have been resolved and the car is almost ready for new paint.
>
I really like this Site ( and especially all the attention you've been giving it lately).

Thanks,
