Steve Dienes tells us..." I still remember the day I rolled out of the dealership lot in the back seat with my father at the wheel in 1976. I knew this car would someday be mine. In 1989 I purchased the car from my father for $50 hehe (thanks Dad) I even have the original dealership brochure and window sticker.
It has power everything, AC, V8 400, Automatic, tilt wheel. In 2000, a high perfomance cam was installed and the Rochester 4bbl was completely rebuilt. It now has 179,000 miles and still runs like a champ. Paint and minor body work will begin soon.
Some suspension improvements are also in store as it gets plenty of use and abuse on old logging roads during camping trips in the Washington/Oregon wilderness. From hauling an entire band's worth of amplifiers and equipment to a week's worth of camping gear, she has become my beloved "go anywhere, do any thing" rig.
