Jeremy Ducaine's
1975 Grand Am
Jeremy Ducaine'll tell us more...
" Hey I love your site. It's great!
Just wanted to show you my G/A.
I bought this when I was 18 (1998). Used my graduation money to buy it. Ifigured cool car or college...... gotta go with the cool car right? (OK, I just hadtowork more to pay for college).

Bought it for 5,800 dollars cash. I had noideawhat a 1st generation Grand Am was at the time. I sold my '76 Camaro, and was lookingfor another nice low mileage car when my uncle pointed this one out. I wasn't sure about it at first, but man when I took it for a test drive, I couldn'tbelieve how it drove. It was like floating on a cloud. I'm sure you G/A fansknow what I am talking about.

I live near Detroit MIch, and I have never seen another 73 - 75 G/A driving around here. I know where one is rotting away foryears on some guys front lawn though. It's fun to have such a rare vehicle.Thiscar had 65,000 original miles when I bought it. it now has 72,000. I onlydrive it about 500 miles a year now.

I restore cars, and have had 10 already, but Icould never part with this one. It's great to know that there are othersoutthere who love these A-bodies as much as I do.

I have done nothing to thiscar but keep it clean. There is nothing to do, it is in perfect shape! Perfect black interior, buckets, air conditioning, 400 engine, honeycombs (I loveHoneycombs), console shift. I have been searching for a '73 GTO 4-speed tojoin the G/A but no luck yet. I think these cars deserve much more attention than they get.

Most everyone that see's mine tries to tell me there were noG/A's in 1975. I frequent the many car shows and cruises in the Detroit area, and have yet to see another one. I guess that's just part of the fun of owning one.
It's just nice that there is a site like this where we can all share these great cars together.

P.S. what happened to guys in high school or college buying classic/musclecars, and learning to work on them???? I feel like I'm alone out here.
And I don't count the STUPID IMPORTS!
Thanx for your time,
Jeremy Ducaine "
