Went to a friends keg party back in 1991. His roommate asked me if I knew of a junkyard that would give him $50 for this car in the backyard. Needless to say, I left left my unregistered junk that I was driving at the time there, put my battery and plate on the LeMans and drove it away.
It orginally had a 350-4bbl, running on 7 cylinders, 350 trans, one legger rear and a tan bench seat interior. It is now equipped with a fresh YT400, T400, 3.08 posi from a 74 G/A. I added the black bucket seat interior with full rally gauges/tach, and the hood from a 73 GTO . The only original parts to the car now are the frame, front spindles, body shell, trunk lid, windshield and header panel.
When I got the car it had 240,000 on it and I've put another 180,000 in the ten years I've been daily driving this thing. It's soon to get a tri-powered, 62 headed 400, backed by an M-20.
When I get a chance I'll send in some pictures of my G/A and my 73 GTO's.
