Troy Rodgers'
1974 Pontiac LeMans
This is
Troy Rodgers telling the story. Troy expounds...
"
I just
bought this car from and old friend, but this car has been part of my
life for well over 20 years. It's a long story, so I'll try to keep it
short-winded.

Back when I was about 12 or 13 years old, my mother worked at a
local doctors office and became pals with one particular lady. One
night my mother, father and myself went to their house for dinner and in
the driveway sat the same car I saw at school. I was trying to explain to my
dad that that's what I wanted when I got my license. Turns out that her oldest son
recently bought it as his first car. Needless to say Chris and I hit it
off and have remained friends all this time. We have both went our own
ways over the years, getting married and having children and such. Ive
stuck with cars over the years, and Chris got into bikes.

Needless to
say, when he decided to sell this car I had to have it. Chris was a few
years older than me and I always dreamed of owning this car. well that
day has arrived. I've been into Pontiacs for years and aqquired quite a
collection at this point. I've been questioned as to why I bought a '74
and have to laugh, and simply reply, " have you seen one lately ? ". I've had
a lot of cars, and will have a lot more in the years to come, but I'm gonna
keep this one with my treasured '64s.

About the car now. It's super solid and razor straight. It was a 350
2 bbl auto to start with, green with a black bench seat. Now it is black
on black, 1966 WT 389 with 093 heads, offy 2- 4 bbl set up, M-21 4-speed, 3:73 rear. Could go on and on but I won't at this point.
This car is fun to look at but even more fun to drive. It's very
deceiving to most people. It's big by today's standards, but it really moves
along!
Thanks,
Troy Rodgers "
