Greg Wise's
1974 LeMans sport coupe
Greg Wise says...
" I bought this car when I was 16 in 1979 and I have owned it ever since
then. I have updated and added to it three times in my garage over the
years.

The first time I just fixed the body and painted. The second
time I stripped off all the paint, fixed the body and rebuilt the engine.
At this time the engine was rated at 429 HP. The last update added more
horse power to the motor.

The engine now puts out 551 HP with 579 ft/lbs of
torque. You can smoke the street tires for a couple of blocks and it
makes a great show.

The specs for my LeMans are as follows:
455 CID bored .60 over
Turbo 400 transmission with a trans cooler and a 10 inch torque converter
Barry Grant Stage 3 Carburetor with 750 CFM that flows like 1080 CFM
The old Eldebrock Torquer Manifold that is port matched to the Ram Air IV
heads
Custom built 2-1/2 inch headers with a stainless steel exhaust to the
back of the car (by the way, that was no easy trick)
continued below...

4:10 Posi rear end with C-Clip eliminators
Boxed rear Control Arms
400 Watt Stereo in the trunk with a CD player and Cassette deck
NASA hood scoops
Louvered rear windows
Power moon roof
Much, much more.

My car came with a lot of these things from the factory, I just made them
better, stronger and faster.

The New 1/4 mile time is in the 11s. It's a great car to drive and for its
size, it really can move.

Thanks "
