" This is my '74 GT sports coupe with the factory 400 and 4-speed Muncie M-21 heavy duty. My father bought it new in 74 when he 18. My father drove it for two years then sold it to one of my uncles who sold it to another one of my uncles and he junked it in about '86. I towed it out of the junked yard about 6 years ago and started gathering parts, I then had the body work done by Alyre Aube.
My uncle and I rebuilt the motor and put on the heads, intake, manifolds and cam off of a Ram Air III 400. I had the motor punched 60 over and balanced with power forged pistons. I also put a rev limiter on it, I'm just learning to power shift. Another uncle of mine and me rebuilt the transmission with new bearings, synchronizers, and gaskets.
As far as the body goes the only thing that is different is the hood and tire size. A friend of my fathers had the exact same car except with a black vinyl roof, white interior with buckets instead of blue with a bench. "
