Dan Kelly's
1974 Pontiac Grand Am
Dan Kelly says...
"
I have owned my Grand Am for almost 2 years. I found it at a small lot in Wheatland Wyoming, and wasn't really looking to buy anything at the time. They were originally asking $2900 for it, but would let it go for $2000 if they kept the original Rally II wheels. Well, I didn't make it back to Wyoming for a couple of weeks, and the car got hit by a hail storm. The hood and roof took nearly all of the damage, but was surprisingly not that bad. Ended up paying $1400 for the car.

Since then, I have had the engine rebuilt (.030 over, forged pistons, ported 64 heads, Summit 2801 cam, Performer intake, 750 Edelbrock, etc), 700R4 transmission, Ford 9 inch rear end w/disk brakes. The interior was in very good condition, just had to have a couple of seat panels replaced.... oh yeah, the dash is cracked too. It is nearly rust free, just had a spot on the right front fender (have a replacement) and about 4 spots on the right rear quarter. Have a NACA hood to replace the hail damaged original, just saving up some money for the paint! "

Love the site, glad to see I'm not the only one who loves these old war wagons!
