For about a year now I've seen this nice glossy black Lemans in Dayton, Ohio that looks SO good, despite it's 22" chrome wheels, that I HAD to have that awesome body style! I happen to own a TV Batmobile replica based on a Catalina Donor Chassis( www.thebatcave8k.com/woodside.htm ), but since it wasn't complete, I began to seek out a driver for the 2004 Woodward Dream Cruise. I scoured eBay and Traderonline.com and found the '76 Grand Lemans that was a beautiful car, yet unsold:

After lots of e-mails to n fro', we settled on a price of $3200.00 and I summarily drove to IL to get it on a Thursday night, and drove it home to OH on Friday. On the way back I remembered it was raining like hell and at one point, at about 70m.p.h., I felt the rearend coming out from under me on I-74. I eased off the gas, regained control and took a sigh of releif and kept it at 65m.p.h. all the way home. I was home 10 minutes long enough to switch overnight bags and hauled *ss to MI for the Woodward Dream Cruise (If you've never been it's a life-changing event). Sadly, the car overheated within the first 10 minutes, so getting back to OH was quite the challenge! About $1500.00 later, all improvements made, I began to really enjoy the car for the carshow season, when I stumbled on your website!

Then I found the Grand Am Registry..........and within a few short reviews, discovered an unsold '74 Grand Am for sale in California that was unofficially for sale off and on for almost 2 years. The seller and I agreed on a price, I paid my deposit and contemplated an AWESOME drive across the country in a mostly restored Grand Am!

--------then I got the transporter's price of a low low $800.00 and thought I can't beat the GAS alone for that price. She's on her way and I can't get her fast enough for some good fun.

This next pic' was right after it was freshly detailed for me by the seller:

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
Now here's my wish list yet for the car:
1: Restorable Wheel Opening Mouldings
2: Looking for true Grand Am Seats ('74 Camaro seats are in it now)
3: Pair of red sunvisors correct for '74
Any leads would be great. My only possible modification to this is to consider
adding a NASA-style hood or one with a shaker scoop possibly? Not really sure what fits so I'll be looking for input.
