Steven Jacques' 1973 Pontiac GTO
and
1973 Pontiac Grand Am
This is Stephen Jacques' beautiful 1973 GTO. As Stephen says "Peter here is the 73 I said I would send PICS of as soon as it was done.
It came off the road in Nov. 98 and I started stripping the roof and all the
paint.
I work at a Chevy dealership and got to use the shop at night for 3 months.
After many hours of sanding, stripping and welding the body came out real
nice.

I chose a 1999 Chevy Lumina Navy Blue metallic AKA Indigo blue on the Chevy
pickup truck. I found her in the bargain hunters guide and the owner wanted $2400
and after talking a while and realizing we knew each other we settled on $1400.
I changed the carpet color from tan to black as well as the package tray on
the rear shelf.
I also changed the roof color from baby blue (aggghhhh) to black as well as
the louvers. ( they were painted the old body color.) First thing I did was
buy four new tires and a custom stainless steel 2 1/2 in. Exhaust with
Flowmasters. It sounds real nice. By the way did I mention that the
interior was mint except for the carpet and package tray!
Oh, and the car only has
65000 original miles on it! The numbers on the block match the vin # which
is 2F37T3G103115 .

The roof material I used was a black cloth sold to GM for
use in the Corvette and Camaro convertible. ( I know the guy who owns the
company that makes it he also supplies ALL the sports teams as well as the
Olympics with the tape they use in sports.) The car came out real nice and
gets unbelievable almost accident causing, head turns everywhere me and my
girl go.
The car is an original (except for my minor changes) every summer day driver!
I love this car and I am currently looking for a 73-77 Lemans , Grand Am or
GTO for my sweetheart. We would settle for a Laguna, 442, Gran Sport, Etc.
These cars are getting extremely hard to find!
Laurie Macquade and Steven Jacques'
1973 Pontiac Grand Am
"We found the car in the bargain hunters guide and went to look at it and
knew
we wanted her right away. She had been sitting for 10 years 2nd owner was
getting rid of her he had lost interest!
He had a ton of extra parts to go with it 2 pwr doors with glass, 3
louvered
qtr glasses, 2 jacks a front nose piece as well as 2 new complete GM qtrs
that a friend had found at the Hershey Pennsylvania show.
It has Ralleye 2 Wheels, A/C, CD player, Pwr seat, pwr windows, 2bbl 185 hp 400
engine,
dual exaust, tinted windows, aux lighting package, sport
steering wheel, Black Interior, bucket seats, console Also thrown in
were a 200 watt amp an alternator and starter
4 Ralleye 2 rims with all the trim, a rear bumper in fair shape, 2
decklids
with keys and also a set of Grand Am taillights
the whole package cost $2000 firm and who were we to argue. Needless to
say
we gave him the cash and towed it home. After a few weeks of replacing
int.
and ext bulbs pulling a dent replacing a water pump and front brakes it
now
has 1000 miles since we got her a few weeks ago ( endless cruising) what
an
awesome ride these cars have.
Another fine addition to the family!
We really enjoy your website and are so glad we found it. Thanks and keep up the great work!"
