Scott Zwieg's 1973 LeMans.Scott tells us:
"My first car was a 1973 LeMans. I was 15 when my parents paid $50.00 for the car and then handed me the keys. After some minor repairs, my father and I had it ready for the road. It had sat in a garage for about 5 years and had the usual problems(brakes, exhaust, fuel lines, etc...). So, with my car finally running, I set out to get my first job to support it. 12 years later, I still have the car and even drive it occasionally.
BEFORE
This summer it finally hit the dreaded 100,000 mile mark. It had about 79,000 when I got it. Not bad for owning it over a decade. I must admit that I don't see many of these cars around. Especially ones with 400's in them. All of the other LeMans' I have come across have had 350's. My father and I gave it a "garage restoration" about ten years ago. The only major item that it needs is a rear bumper. You can't tell from the picture, but there is a huge hole in it to the left of the license plate.
