Greg Corbitt's 1973 Pontiac LeMans
This is
Greg Corbitt's 1973 LeMans.
Greg recounts:
"I bought my 73 Sport Coupe about 6 years ago for $850. I am the third owner. It had 105k miles when I bought it
and now sits at 150k. I used it as a daily driver for the better part of four years and really only put gas in it, no
major work. It wasn't the first car that I have owned but it will be the last.
The car is 99% complete, needing
only minor rust repair, wheel well trim, RF turn signal (though I think I found a new one 'in the box'), and rr tail
light. I broke the tail light myself, being stupid, and have not come close to being able to replace it. The interior
is still intact, needing the front seats and carpet fixed. The dash and headliner are in excellent shape. It has been
sitting for about 2 years now, i moved it from Oregon to California to try and minimize the weather damage that
was occuring.
I always wanted a muscle car, but not a Mustang or Chevelle because there are too many. I
consider myself lucky to be able to own it. It has been the most reliable car that I have owned. I am thinking
about having it painted Frost White metallic with color change flames that follow the GTO stripe lines. Hopefully
by this time next year, I will be nearly complete.
If there are any donor cars that anyone encounters, I need sheetmetal. The piece from the rear window to the trunk,
rear shelf would be nice too. I have a hot rod shop (Toyworks) that can work miracles. There is a major cut in
price if I can find donor metal as opposed to hand forming the compound curves of the rear window sill."
Thanks, Greg
