G. Hardy's
1973 Pontiac GTO

Updated Pics and Story
G. Hardy tells us more...

" this is my GTO. I bought it 17 years ago in high school with no motor orTrans for 200$. It was a 4-speed car.

Clutch pedal sits on floor andconsole in storage. Now it's got a 400ci and a turbo 400 with shift kit(might change it back later). I got a dual gate for 25$ from a guy withconsole 15 years ago. I've stripped all the paint, then primered it.

Had alocal body shop do the body and paint. I wire wheeled the interior and trunkthen painted them, installed new carpet and sound deadener and padding. Had the dash re-done by JUST DASHES.

Installed all new NOS weatherstriping and new package shelf in the back window. It's just about to go on the road.

I'll send some more pics then. BTW, Top Notch web site. "

Updated Pics and Story

" Here are some more pics of my car with my new rims and tires. They are 17"315/45 on rear and 245/45's on the front. I think the rear are the biggestthat will fit in the weel well.

I want to drop the front an inch or two butthe header's hang too low (Hooker Comp.) I just took off some three tubeHedman headerss that fit tighter to floor board ? But they were rusted. I mighthave to modify or replace these cause I need it for the proper rake orstance.

Anyone seen drop spindles or changed springs? I got to lift theback too or probably just replace the springs.

If anyone has gone throughthis and can help me out (save me some time and money) I'd appreciate it.

Bythe way. Even though the rims are 17"ers the overall diameter/heigth is thesame as my old 15"ers.

Keep up the good work Pete. "
